Candlelit Ghost Stories with Giles Abbott
At Kensal Green Cemetery on Saturday the 5th October 2019 - 7:30 pm
At Brompton Cemetery on Thursday the 31st October 2019 - 7:30 pm

ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE TALES OF BEYOND: We look forward to welcoming you to Brompton Cemetery Chapel on Halloween night. As the Cemetery will be closed to the general public from 5 pm, the only entrance that will be open for the performance is the one on Old Brompton Road. This entrance will be open from 7:10 pm and the performance will start at 7:35 pm. Please note the gate to the cemetery will close at 7:40. No latecomers will be admitted…

A chance to hear these classic ghost stories as you've never heard them before - in a graveyard on a night in October. As dusk falls in the cemetery the gatekeeper will guide you on a torchlit procession, picking your way through the tombstones until you reach the chapel.

There you can gather round by the light of the guttering candles as storyteller GILES ABBOTT takes you into the world of The Devil's Violin, The Unquiet Grave, The Girl With The Golden Arms, The Pardoner's Tale, The Grave That No-one Would Dig, Mrs Brown's Jigsaw Puzzle, The Earl King, Odysseus In The Underworld, The Cascade Of The Ghosts and other thrilling and spine-tingling tales of the dark, the demonic and the dead that won't stay dead.

Tickets for this event have now sold out..

GILES ABBOTT
Giles Abbott started storytelling in 1999 in response to sudden, but not total, sight loss. Since then he has become an award-winning storyteller who just happens to be the UK’s only professional blind storyteller.

His repertoire includes Iron-Age myth from British and Norse traditions, Greek myths and folk tales from around the world.

Giles also works with both children and adults using storytelling to promote confidence, increase literacy and inspire a love of words.
