BOOKS OF THE DEAD
A Travel Guide with Gary Lachman
on Sunday the 20th October 2024 at 3:30 pm

What happens when we die? Are there any guide books to give us a clue about how we should prepare, what we should expect or what we should do? Or that give us some hint of the best way to get through a bad business? From ancient Egyptians and medieval Tibetan monks, up to modern times, we, the living, have been fascinated, revulsed, apprehensive and not a little curious about exactly what takes place when we enter the Big Sleep and how to get the most out of the experience.

Gary Lachman's talk will look at some of the Baedekers of the Beyond that offer tips on the best places to go and those to avoid when we cross over to the other side, and how we might make that passage a profitable one. He will also take a peek or two into some Books of the Dead that are better left unread…

Tickets £12 including a delightful gin cocktail and a 20% donation to Brompton Cemetery. Please click here to purchase.
