ASHES TO ASHES - An Insider’s Guide to Funerals A talk with Louise Winter in Kensal Green Cemetery
Saturday 23rd October 2021 from 1:30 pm
Nothing in this world is certain, except for death and taxes, as Benjamin Franklin famously opined (just five months before his own demise). But, though most of us can just about manage our tax planning, how many of us are adequately prepared for our death? Have you thought about your funeral? Have you decided whether you want to be buried or cremated, if you’d prefer a religious or secular ceremony, or what music you’d like to accompany you as you are conveyed to your final resting place?
In this workshop, progressive funeral director Louise Winter will take you through everything you need to know about the last social event that most of us attend, explaining why we have funerals, what a “good” funeral might be like and how they can be made meaningful and practical. She will share the lessons she’s learned as an undertaker about life, death, love and loss.
So, if you’re thinking about your own funeral, preparing to arrange one for someone else or just curious about the ceremonials that attend our departure from this world, Louise’s talk will inform, inspire and empower you.
Tickets to this event are free of charge. Please email suzette@acuriousinvitation.com to reserve a place.
