A Curious Invitation present London Month of the Dead
CEMETERY OF ALL SOULS
A Guided Tour of Kensal Green Cemetery with Robert Stephenson
Saturday 10th October 2020 at 11:00 am

London historian, folklorist and gravestone expert ROBERT STEPHENSON leads a special tour to meet the famous and infamous residents of one of the country's finest cemeteries.

All Souls' Cemetery Kensal Green, which opened in 1883, is London's first purpose-built cemetery and at 72 acres is the largest of the Victorian "Magnificent Seven" cemeteries. It has the country's largest collection of listed funerary monuments and is the only public cemetery containing royalty. This tour will begin in the Anglican Chapel with an introduction talk before visiting the graves of its many famous occupants.

Due to the surge in Covid-19 cases, this tour has now been cancelled. We are currently working on a digita audio guide to replace the group tours.

Robert Stephenson is a qualified City of London Culture and Heritage guide and a trustee at Kensal Green and Brompton cemeteries. He teaches on London and death studies. Robert is also chairman of the National Federation of Cemetery Friends.
