A Curious Invitation present London Month of the Dead
The Victorian Underbelly Underground at Kensal Green - A Guided Tour with Robert Stephenson
Sunday 1st November 2020 at 11:00 am

All Souls' cemetery, Kensal Green lives up to its name as an abode for all. With 72 acres of burial space, it is home not only to an outstanding role call of the great and the good but also a shocking list of ne'er do wells

In this one hour tour, London historian, folklorist and gravestone expert ROBERT STEPHENSON will reveal the underbelly of Victorian society that lies underground at Kensal Green with visits to the graves of a titillating selection on philanders, quack doctors, card cheats, blackmailers and murderers.

Due to the surge in Covid-19 cases, this tour has now been cancelled. We are currently working on a digita audio guide to replace the group tours.

Robert Stephenson is a qualified City of London Culture and Heritage guide and a trustee at Kensal Green and Brompton cemeteries. He teaches on London and death studies. Robert is also chairman of the National Federation of Cemetery Friends.
